Fall Break Part 3

On Friday of Fall Break, Hannah and I went to the Louisville Zoo. We started the morning with a yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Cave City and then headed on to the zoo. We had about 4 hours to explore it before the Halloween festivities started. At 3:00 the zoo closed and we crashed in the car - eating our packed lunch and playing on my ipod. At 4:00 it re-opened for members only trick or treating. They really had the scene set, with lit pumpkins, strobe lights, and lots of friendly characters. Even though Hannah's eyes are closed, this is one of her favorite pictures. After her way too short visit with the princesses, I realized that we probably need to start planning (and saving for!) a Disney vacation.

We've really enjoyed our zoo membership. I hope we can get in a few more visits before it expires in March.
