On the Saturday before school started, Hannah participated in the Little Panther Prep from 8-11. During this time, students meet their teacher, go to each of the specials classes for a period of time, play on the playground, go through the line in the cafeteria to get a snack, and take a short bus ride around the parking lot. While the students are doing that, parents are filling out the beginning of the year forms ( there were a good 25 pages if not more!) and listen to different school representatives to find out what happens at Plano Elementary. While it was a bit boring for me, it was nice to fill out all those papers before school started!
When Mrs. Rather (her teacher) asked all the students to line up and the parents to stay seated, I was stunned that all but one of the kids did what she asked without trying to cling to their parents or starting to cry! I was a little nervous that Hannah wouldn't want to go with all the "strangers" aka her teacher, student teacher, and classmates, but she was fine!
Here she is sitting at her desk/table for the first time.

After Little Panther Prep was over, she was starving and exhausted! We ate at Kyoto (her choice) and then went shopping for school supplies! She was so tired that she fell asleep on the way to eat - a whole 10-15 minute drive!
