Halloween 2009

Hannah's pumpkin this year. One year we carved, another we painted, and this year she wanted to use stickers.

We have had such an enjoyable Halloween. This was Hannah's third time trick or treating and the first time that we've experienced it on a Saturday (which means its the first time we haven't had to pick her up after getting off work, shovel down some supper in the car, and try to keep a toddler awake long enough to make it to the necessary stops only to desperately try to get her to sleep 3 hours later). I was talking to some friends tonight about how Halloween shouldn't be the last day in Oct., but rather the last Saturday in October.

Today we were able to sleep late, spend time watching Halloween shows, and make it to Bowling Green to trick or treat at my mom and dad's. We've never officially been trick or treating there because that's where I've had to pick her up after getting off work. We got there around 2:30 this afternoon and I had planned to stay and visit for a little while but Hannah had other ideas. After she got her candy she was ready to go, which is totally opposite of what happens when we go to Nana and Pa's house. She told them that she had lots of other places she had to go to get bunches of candy. After that we stopped back by our house to pick up Jeremy. After visiting the high school we went to Mommaw's house and several houses of people from church. We ended the night at a bonfire/birthday party for a sweet gal. Hannah has loads of candy and is amazed just to look through it. There's no telling how much sugar she's consumed today, with what she ate in the car, at the bonfire, and since we've gotten home. The princess just said that she's ready for bed - so off we go:)
